Hello world!

Ok, I did it. I almost can’t believe that I’ve started my own blog. Now that I’ve taken the plunge here’s what I’m going to talk about: music, audio production, radio, television, movies, books, current culture, hockey, and whatever else pours out of my head.

I’ve been in audio production of some kind for 14 years now, and the last 8 in radio and television production. During that time I’ve won many state, regional and national awards. Where I work we record almost 60 concerts every year. What I’ve found a long the way is that there are very few resources on how to do it. So, when I don’t post personal stuff, I’m going to talk about techniques that I’ve tried – as I’m often trying things that you won’t find in text books or on the web. I tend to meld different ideas for the circumstance I find myself in to get the result I need to make a good product.

It’s also not going to be all serious. I love music (I’m a recovering drummer), movies, books and hockey (I have my wife to thank for that). So there will be the occasional mention of the Hershey Bears or Washington Capitals or what I’m listening or reading now. Bear with me, it’ll all come together in dear time.
